Delta Faucet has an outstanding opportunity for a strategic business leader to join our IT team to lead Delta Faucet Company's organizational needs related to reporting, analytics, and capabilities that would fall under the broad term advanced analytics. The Business Solutions Manager leads a cross-functional BI leadership team to establish the vision, strategy and roadmap for reporting and analytics and is accountable for ensuring the organization has a defined and cohesive strategy supporting current and future analytical needs.

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Organizational Leadership
    • Lead the BI Leadership Team and coordinate their activities in support of their charter. This includes setting the mission and vision for how our organization will view business intelligence, reporting and analytics.
    • Drive strategies and roadmaps for Business Intelligence (BI) that span the entire organization.
    • Assist in the development the architectural strategy for efficient implementation of business solutions.
    • Serve as a mentor or coach to others in the organization including the network of Key Users and effectively drive cultural changes needed in reporting and analytics.
    • Maintain an understanding of trends in reporting, analytics and advanced analytics include emerging technologies that could provide value to the organization.
    • Identify and engage the necessary third-party resources to ensure successfully delivery of the mission, vision, and roadmap
  • Business Partner Engagement
    • Identify and develop strong partnering relationships with key stakeholders and create alignment amongst stakeholders for analytics and reporting.
    • Invest to understand the strategic goals and initiatives of our core business functions and engage functional leadership to complete needs analysis in support of these strategic goals.
    • Ensure stakeholders understand resource needs within their functions to get the most value out of the Company’s analytical capabilities.
    • Proactively understand partners’ business drivers and create alignment to a common set of goals that benefit the overall mission of the Company.
    • Assist in the development of strategic and tactical roadmaps identifying goals and drivers of stakeholder business.
    • Communicate architecture strategy and delivery capabilities and be effective in managing expectations while demonstrating understanding of needs of business.
    • Take a lead role in facilitating business partners’ strategies and identifying improvement opportunities.

  • Solutions Design
    • Collaborate with business partners in identifying opportunities for, and implementation of, processes and technology to meet their reporting and analytics needs.
    • Lead and/or participate in the development of overall business solutions designs including reengineering business processes, organization and application architecture.
    • Participate in the creation and maintenance of an architectural vision, roadmap, guidelines, and standards.
    • Work closely with business partners to identify problems, new or changing requirements, and provide complete business solutions to support complex Company processes.
    • Research and analyze basic and complex issues surrounding the processes and systems of an organization, make solution recommendations for improving business processes and practices.
    • Manage the development of high-level requirements of new business solutions.

  • Solutions Delivery
    • When needed, supplement the PMO by managing individual projects in the Business Intelligence space.
    • Provide oversight of delivery for BI related initiatives by ensuring quality work products.
    • Deliver against business case and specifications, vendor management, change management, and issue resolution for business solution projects.
    • Collaborate with the PMO or as needed individually set deadlines, assign responsibilities, and monitor progress for the business solutions.

  • Solutions Development & Support
    • Ensure quality of support resources and processes to maintain operational efficiency of the Company’s business systems and processes including identifying the appropriate partner strategies to support our current and future solutions.
    • Lead new development efforts in context of business solution projects or support.
    • As needed, provide problem diagnosis and consulting on complex production issues. Provide management oversight or mentorship to production issue resolution processes when required.
    • Develop and use a set of best practices for application development and system architecture.
    • Ensure the quality development of necessary business processes and functional specifications for business systems.
    • Ensure quality solution deployment through the development and execution of solution test plans and scripts.
    • Perform tasks dealing with the analysis, design, development and implementation of solutions serving business areas.
    • Provide guidance to business areas in developing tests and training plans and materials.

Education and Experience/Skills:

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university and 5+ years’ experience in designing, delivering, and developing business solutions with process and organization change and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Demonstrated experience in developing professional business relationships and cultivating these relationships to drive value centric initiatives. Demonstrated leader in creative and critical thinking, business case development and achievement, and taking calculated risks. Demonstrated experience in leading cross-functional teams, specifically without hard-line management relationships with that team. Demonstrated experience in project or initiative delivery. Proven ability to implementing new standards and processes.

The preferred candidate will have the demonstrated ability to lead, influence, and motivate the staff and project teams. Above average cross-functional business acumen. Ability to clearly and concisely explain technical topics to both technical and non-technical associates. Uses patience, communication skills, and knowledge to lead and mentor other technicians. Highly motivated. A competent, innovative, and creative thinker. Always looking to grow, help, and mentor less experienced teammates. This person is very results oriented and takes ownership. Consistently has shown the ability to lead and provide direction regarding business solutions. Has shown ability to deliver high complexity business solutions on time and within budget. Executes responsibilities with little to no oversight required.
