Job Description

Delta Faucet Company has an awesome opportunity within our HQ Finance Department for a Cost Analyst!


As the Cost Analyst you will leverage your understanding of cost accounting standards and principles to perform cost accounting work to analyze variances, develop standard cost data and accurate inventory valuation. Must be able to adapt to an ever-changing audit control environment with procedure and process adjustments. Position reports to the Senior Manager, Cost Accounting. Will interact heavily with internal Finance and other staff at headquarters and plant locations on an ongoing basis.



Principal Accountabilities:

  • Create and maintain SKU level standard costs in accordance with corporate policies and generally accepted accounting principles.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing personnel on structure and validity of BOM and routing data.
  • Provide accurate, timely costing information to the business to support business decisions.
  • Provide support as required for cost benefit analysis related to projects and/or programs.
  • Consolidate and report companywide material, labor, and overhead cost benefit analysis to management.
  • Review integrities for standard cost, correct and update standards on an ongoing basis as necessary.
  • Actively participate and provide leadership in various projects to improve the operational and financial effectiveness of the plant related to the standard costs of individual SKUs.


Education and Experience/Skills:

B.S. degree in Accounting from a 4 year college or university and 1-3 years of experience, preferably in a standard costing environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience. The incumbent must have the ability to effectively handle multiple problems that are varied and often non-repetitive. The successful incumbent will have highly developed analytical skills and excellent communication skills at all levels of an organization. Must exhibit a high degree of professional excellence characterized by sound independent judgment, initiative and a high standard of ethics. Must be able to work with minimal supervision.
