Job Description

Delta Faucet Company has an awesome opportunity working with homeowners, architects, and engineers at our Chicago Merchant Mart!


The Merchant Mart Associate will insure each customer that enters the Merchandise Mart Showroom receives the best possible sales effort, product presentation, service, and support from Delta Faucet Company. This part-time role will include working Wednesday through Friday 9-5 and Saturday 10-3. This role may also include being involved in events run through the Merchandise Mart. Anticipated weekly hours, 29.


Principal Accountabilities

  • Work daily shifts at the Merchandise Mart showroom
  • Work with customers to insure that all of their needs have been met
  • Provide product expertise to customers in regarding to Delta Faucet Company products displayed in the showroom
  • Maintain and grow relationships with top quality service and sales support
  • For all customers, prepare and present Delta products to acquire new business and make follow up sales calls to insure that customers understand DFC, our products and services
  • Work with specifying customers that enter the showroom and insure that communication is given to other DFC employees regarding out of state leads
  • Gain support from, enable and lead team coordination where needed to enhance delivery of a consistent customer experience in the Chicago residential and commercial contractor segment

Education and Experience/Skills:

The ideal candidate will possess a college degree from a four-year college or university with some work experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Education/experience in the interior design field highly beneficial. Experience in the showroom segment is ideal. It is essential this individual has a strong ability to multi-task, identify needs and resolve issues immediately. Must have a positive, can-do attitude that exhibits passion and optimism. This person must have a strong work ethic; demonstrate a customer focus and understanding, and exhibit ethics and honesty. Must exhibit effective collaborative and team-building skills and also exhibit a strong sense of personal accountability.
