Job Description

The Solution Sustainment Manager is responsible for activities that protect and build upon Delta Faucet Company’s SAP design and data integrity. The Solution Sustainment Manager is the face of master data governance, workflow oversight and leads collaboration amongst the Key User group.


Nature & Scope:

The Solution Sustainment Manager has responsibility for ensuring key sustainment processes such as master data integrity checks, timely execution of master data workflows, metric performance, Key User community, training material updates. This requires close partnership with all business functions to lead a culture of integrity and accountability regarding master data and solution changes. This includes understanding business process needs, ensuring implementation of standard processes and procedures, and partnering with IS to implement changes. This also involves defining KPI’s for data quality and processing cycle times, tracking performance, actively communicating issues or changes, and ensuring compliance to standard work. The Solution Sustainment Manager develops and directs a high performing team that evolves with the business and is focused on internal customer needs. Manages a team of 0-3 direct reports.


Principal Accountabilities:

  • Responsible for overall health of master data
  • Devises agenda to promote and educate the organization on the importance of managing data as an asset
  • Drafts, implements, and manages processes to facilitate effective high-quality data administration in enterprise applications
  • Collaborates with key stakeholders to define appropriate service level targets or service level agreements related to data management
  • Facilitates a Key User group of in-function resources to drive efficiencies and improvements to workflow and related business processes
  • Ensures all business functions have appropriate Key User coverage and that knowledge is transferred through transitions in Key User responsibility
  • Validates that training documentation is updated as business process and system changes are implemented
  • Communicates and facilitates alignment with other areas of IS when large master data changes or activities are planned
  • Reviews and recommends changes to workflow supporting master data management ensuring the workflow design appropriately supports effective data management
  • Tracks and measures workflow compliance, performance v. goal, and overall achievement of objectives at various stages of the workflow
  • Manages the escalation and resolutions of data governance issues
  • Prepare communications and provide updates to various levels of management throughout the organization
  • Uses continuous improvement techniques to eliminate process waste
  • Defines data conversion methodology and manages data conversion activity (Extract, Transform, Load, Validate) during integration projects and large system enhancement
  • Measures data integrity audits

Education and Experience/Skills:

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in related field (Business, Information Management, Engineering), 3-5 years’ experience managing teams, and 3 years of data experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Individual must have excellent collaboration skills and have demonstrated cross-functional leadership in previous roles. Must possess highly developed communication skills at all levels of the organization to influence (often without authority) others consistent with company objectives as well as to clarify and maintain focus on team goals and objectives. Individual must have the ability to anticipate and recognize systemic issues and work with leadership to influence corrective actions. This role must be able to prioritize multiple, often competing priorities and be able to delegate and follow up appropriately. Candidate must also be comfortable in dealing with ambiguity. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications required. Experience with SAP desired, but not required.
