Job Description

Delta Faucet Company has an outstanding opportunity for a Supplier Development professional at our growing Indianapolis headquarters office. The Supplier Development Project Manager provides project resource, task coordination and oversight to assure timely and thorough project execution. This position works closely with commodity buyers in the early stages of supplier needs and identification justification, through all validations and qualifications, ending with the six month review after first receipt of product.


Principal Accountabilities:

  • Effectively manage supplier development action plans, assuring timing, cross-functional alignment on quality, commodity, and supplier SBC activities
  • In conjunction with commodity managers, facilitate weekly team and leadership meetings
  • Oversee the support tech functions to assure effective transfer of information and supplier support
  • Coordinate and participate in on-site, supplier process capability assessments
  • Report on weekly and monthly metrics – escalate and/or effectively countermeasure unfavorability
  • Execute special projects / ad hoc management requests
  • Manage tasks and resources to provide timely and thorough supplier finish validations
  • Coordinate validation priorities and interface with commodity and NPD buyers to assure coordination of NPD project requirements

Education and Experience/Skills:

The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related area with 3-5 years of experience and have at least two years relevant project management experience. A broad background in manufacturing processes is essential, with a strong quality and/or lean six-sigma background. Superior written and oral communication skills and the ability to manage multiple, conflicting priorities is required. The candidate must have a strong sense of urgency and the ability and desire to function in a team/ collaborative environment.
