Job Description

The 2nd shift tool room machinists are responsible for building fixtures, tooling, gages, and equipment to meet an engineering print using both CNC and manual mills and lathes. The machinist must be self-motivated to work independently to meet safety, quality, and scheduling goals for assigned work orders. Tool room machinists are responsible for supporting the company’s mission statement and business objectives.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years’ experience as a machinist or tool and die work, along with a machinist or T&D certification. They will have experience with Haas & Clausing mills, Okuma & Harrison lathes. They will work as a team with other machinists and shifts to meet work order schedule requirements and periodic maintenance on tool room equipment.

Complete assigned work orders safely, per engineering print in appropriate time

Work with other machinists and departments to create tooling, fixturing, gages, and equipment to meet production requirements.

Participate in continuous improvement and 5S projects

CNC programming and Vocation Technical school preferred

Equipment trouble shooting

High School graduate or GED

Prior tool maker experience and certifications are required

Fast-paced team environment experience is preferred

Ability to interpret engineering drawings & analyze data

Strong Computer skills

Other duties as required
